Instinctively, she lay on the floor and put her hands over her heart. She tried to calm herself, but waves of fear kept washing over her. Everything is wrong, she told herself. I’m alone at the butt-end of the universe, and I don’t know what to do.

I grew up going to “Gerald Westminster Fitzgerald Elementary” and then to “Barton Lucas Fuller Junior High”, nothing too great about them...just two schools amongst four other primary schools in town. But, in eighth grade, our neighborhood was split between the two major high schools: “Gerald Westminster High School”—Mr. Fitzgerald was a founding father of the city, so his name was everywhere— and “Wyatt High School, the home of the Pharaohs.”

CHAPTER 28 - Being robbed hurts – not physically, but what it does to your sense of security.

"George isn’t here and hasn’t been for over a year," Ellen replied shakily.

The bruiser in charge looked down at her, obviously not believing her. "In that case, I’m sure you won’t mind if we have a look around."

Heather moved to stand protectively next to Ellen, trying to put his loved ones behind him.

Pointing at Heather the head goon asked, "Who is that homely broad, we've been watching this house for months and haven't seen her until recently."

Dan dropped me off at home. His parting words were.
“Take some time to get your life sorted out and then get the hell out of town. Adam Strong might be in Ryker’s but I’m sure that he’ll be trying to discredit you. His frat buddies are not to be messed with. I should know. My brother is one of them but he’s a good guy. He saw the light and is now a Priest down in Southern Jersey, but he still has his ear to the ‘frat network’.”

He stopped me from replying.
“I know that you didn’t supply the critical bit of evidence that persuaded the DA to file charges but he clearly hates your guts. He has plenty of people that will step up to the plate in his absence. With you out of the picture he and his ilk will have to find someone else to target.”

Tales of Faralmark

This story was originally conceived to be a stand alone tale, but it fit Dorothy's M.Y.T.H. universe without too much modification. It starts about a year before Help! My girlfriend is a Unicorn!

This is the New Year edition.

I had intended to get it out by the end of December 2018, but real life intervened. I hope you all enjoy it, anyhow.

Andy liked to amuse himself by making prank calls on his cell until he called a very wrong number.

The investigation of the case expands as more information is discovered. Erica gets wounded.

Given the sheer number of Police and Fire Service Vehicles in the street outside my home, there really was nothing for it but to pack a bag and leave my home. I could see that there was even a TV Crew interviewing a couple of residents. The Christmas period is always a bit of a slow news time and anything with a human interest would naturally be news even if it was just some padding to fill the time slot.
