Chapter 25 – Things progress

[This is an oldie from late September 2010.]

“Stay where you are love. I’ll call for an ambulance,” said the tall man.

“Fuck off and leave me alone,” replied the woman who was obviously injured.

“Nonsense. I can see that you need medical attention. That blow to the head needs some stitches.”

“What are you a fucking doctor or something? Get the hell out of here and leave me alone.”

He laughed.
“No, you don’t understand. I’m a special constable. Just on my way home from a shift.”

Chapter Two – Progress and Problems

Christopher has made the decision to become a full time transvestite to pass himself as a woman in order to realise his ambition to become a flight attendant. Having mastered 'the basics' with the help of Michelle, it's time to shop so Candi ventures out for the first time. Shop assistant Stephanie provides more attention to Candi than is custom, much to Candi's delight. And then...success! Candi is invited to present herself at Goldwing Airlines as a potential trainee flight steward. It was raining the next morning, the sky low and lifelessly grey. Looking out of my bedroom window, I could see a couple of pigeons sitting miserably in the tree at the end of the garden. Laid over the end of my bed was a stocking holding some fruit, nuts and a small bar of chocolate.

Mortar’s eyes opened with a start. His face throbbed in pain, but nothing was broken. At least the world stopped spinning more than it was supposed to. He got up upon realizing that he was back outside the demolished office. However, the door had been replaced with a barricade of lead and metal. The door had been good against a small bomb, but the new structure could hold against a blast that would take out the area of the whole base.

“Max,” he yelled at the speaker above him. “Max, open the hell up right now!”
