A very short

update as i've got some web time!

So yes, i made it to GOC on Monday, it really is a different world!

Then yesterday i spent with daughter #1 and the Grandson up in Leeds, we avoided getting wet, had ice creams and tea as well as explored Kirkstall Abbey.

Today i got in a 12km walk in the Derbyshire / Yorkshire borderlands south of Sheffield, narrowly missing this afternoon's drizzly dampness. The nearness of open countryside and the extensive woodlands meant i was on tarmac for barely 25% of the walk and a portion of proper northern chips sorted out lunch. Yep, all is good so far.

Tomorrow will be another walk, i have a sort of plan, then on Friday its the bus back to Wessex.
