Lately

I realise that in the last few years, my upload schedule has been, to put it bluntly, crap. This is despite the fact that I have no fewer than 21 chapters in the backlog that need editing but are otherwise ready to go. The reason I haven't, well, edited them is due to a lack of free time.

Well, that's not a 'problem' I have anymore, because as of May 31st year, I am no longer employed. Which, obviously, raises other issues. Chiefly, money. This isn't a begging blog post- any money that you could send to me should be sent to keeping BC running instead, that's not even a question, and I've long since given up on any hopes of ever monetising the Jamieverse.

The main other issue is the lack of time to actually, well, write. For about the last ten years (if not more) my pattern has always been the same- write the chapters at work in between cases, email myself the rough copy at the end of the day, edit when I get around to it. With no work email anymore, obviously this'll need to be 'tweaked' a little. With 21 chapters to edit, though, it's likely you'll not see any difference (assuming you still follow my stories, that is, and I'd hardly blame you if you don't). This is more of a 'woe is me/I'm still alive but I'm not sure that's a good thing' post.
