Motivational dementia

and the weather has left me struggling to function.
Sounds dramatic right but the accumulative effect of everything over the last couple of weeks really is causing me issues. I know i should get out and do stuff but the heat has capped that most of the week to trips to the shops. I want to get some writing done, but my creative juices need rehydrating although i have done some stuff for my 2026 travelogue. The apathy is a slippery slope that i've visited far too often, my chief tool for my mental well being not being available hasn't helped, the emergency back up bike just isn't the same.
On my recent trip up the Fosse Way i visited places that i've not been to since moving to Brizzle or in some cases much longer than that. And some of those spots have featured in my scribbling over the years so i took a couple of photographs for you lot. The first one is the cobbled market place in Newark (that's the original in Nottinghamshire, England), the location of Drew's first big crash that resulted in him wearing skirts for a few days way back in book one i think.
The second picture is from Lincoln and the Magna Carta pub where Daisy and her gran had a late lunch just a couple of chapters ago.
And on that note, i have posted part 10 of May Queen today, for your delectation and delight!
The first part of my bike resurrection has arrived and i'm expecting more as early as tomorrow, with luck most of the repair can be done by next weekend. I hope so as i've joined this year's Everest challenge, climb 8848m by bike during July, something that takes a bit of effort in these parts!
Hopefully i can break from my current fugue and get back to some creative writing in the next few days, at least the weather should be more conducive to cerebral athleticism! I think that's all for today, i'll be back again midweek as usual.
Until Wednesday,
Tschuss,
Madeline Anafrid
