Sophie Wilson
Sophie was born in Leeds, England, in 1957.She studied computer science at the University of Cambridge. She worked at Acorn Computers in the 1980s.
She designed the original instruction set for the ARM chip in just a few days.. ARM stands for Acorn RISC Machine. The design uses very little power and runs very fast
Billions of devices use ARM processors.. Most smartphones and tablets rely on her chip design. Routers, gaming consoles, and smart devices also use ARM
Without her, so much of todays tech would not be possible.

There was a Docudrama about the battle between Clive Sinclair and Acorn computers in the 80's She played a huge part in designing the BBC Micro computer. An actor plays Sophie (Roger then) Wilson, Although, Sophie did appear at the end as a a barmaid at 1:19:55 in the drama.
