It was really tragic, no, heart wrenching, to see Taylor. He used to be such a good boy. It only shows how detrimental betting can be for the happiness and wellbeing of people.
As I said Taylor used to be a very good boy. Now practically everyone in school agreed that he was the badest girl in school. And it all started with a bet. A rather harmless bet one would thinkg. Taylor bet that he could come to school dressed as a girl for a month. Of course he was and still is officially a boy, even if the badest girl in school. That means that he could flaunt all rules that applied to girls. And he sure did! Those skirts, that make-up. I shudder just thinking about it. I can’t stand it any longer. Taylor and I used to be the best of friends. Now? I can barely stand to see him. I just have to put a stop to this.
“Taylor, I concede. You win.”
“But Pete, there is still a week to go.”
“I don’t care. You have won. Here, take it.” And I hand over a piece of paper with a green back and the portrait of Thomas Jefferson. And then I walk away without turning around.
I know very well that the bet was for a full month but I just couldn’t stand it any longer. I could take that terribly applied make-up, the awful skirts and the complete lack of any sophisticated female mannerism. But I could absolutely not stand another day of seeing those hairy legs under his short skirts. Yes, no doubt about it, Taylor was the badest girl in school.
