The Starforged Sagas Universe

Background / History

Approximately five thousand years ago, an unexplained wave/pulse of interstellar energy passed through the Earth and changed everything. Suddenly, the Gods were not mere stories, but actual beings. Those beings had been bestowed power which had never been seen before or since. People all over the world venerated them as deities because who else but a god could hold such power? Some were benevolent, others were malevolent, and yet others would be interpreted as either depending on the storyteller. Epic poems, songs, stories, and sagas were written about the exploits of these beings. Slowly, they seemingly vanished from the world never to be heard from again.

On the 29th of April 2025, something remarkable happens: the wave/pulse returns. All around the world, the initial strike registers as an EMP that disables anything electronic for only a few fleeting moments. To the majority of people, it's annoying but it means nothing. However, to those that faint, it means their lives are about to change. The ones that faint as a result of the energy will be forever changed. They will be the subject of the new poems, stories, songs, and sagas. Their legacy is forged by the stars.

Universe Rules

Time to get to the "nitty-gritty". If you wish to participate, there are going to be rules. Generally, I'm pretty lax but there are some things I will not budge on.

• 1 - In order to participate, you must FIRST contact me. I can be reached via Discord or Email (worldsofalteredpsyche@gmail.com). No story shall be added to this page without prior authorization.
• 2 - The character will be an homage to the comic book/movie counterpart, not the ACTUAL character. Example: Kristen Kent is an homage to Clark Kent/Superman but is NOT actually Superman and would never claim to be.
• 3 - The character can be from any source: Marvel, DC, Image, etc.
• 4 - Any character you would like to write about MUST have superpowers of some kind. In this world, being wealthy, smart, and tech-savvy is not a superpower. This rules out Iron Man, Batman, and others like them. Similarly, no character whose powers come from an external source (i.e. Green Lantern) will be allowed either.
• 5 - Every character will have a "mythological" mentor. They can be from any pantheon, really. Greek or Roman (basically the same), Egyptian, Celtic, Norse, Maya, Aztec, or anything else. The world is your oyster and there may be bonus points for obscure deities.
• 6 - Adherence to the established timeline is non-negotiable.
• 7 - Each character will undergo a change of genotypical (DNA) and phenotypical (body) sex. [It's a transgender fiction website, so this part should be obvious.] This can be MtF or FtM. They will also be regressed in age to somewhere between 16 and 22.
