Complaint: a colleague
mocked a trans student in class.
Flags go on my door.
This happened a couple of years ago, a single incident brought up by the student rep at our department steering group meeting. The name tag on my door still has the pride flags that apply, and in general we still are a pretty safe place to be. What I see as relatively senior faculty is different from what a first-year student sees, of course, but equally of course that is a big reason why it's important to stay visible.
