“Ugh,” I moan as my alarm clock wakes me at 7am for what feels like the millionth consecutive day.

“Morning babe,” Sarah tiredly moans, wrapping her arms around my naked body and giving me a slow, soft kiss on my neck.

“Hey,” I reply, blinking the tiredness out of my eyes. “Looking forward to today?”

“Been looking forward to it since I left in June,” Sarah giggles. “Just wish you were coming with me…”

“I know,” I sigh. “Kinda wish I was coming too…”

“No you don’t,” Sarah says, giving me a playful push. “You know EVERYONE would kill to have your job!”

The Gathering, Part Three

Korra stole the ball from Peter and bounced it off of his head for a moment before sinking another basket. She was enjoying herself, and enjoying the fact that she was enjoying herself. It had only been a week, but being at Ms. Morris' school wasn't all that bad. She wished there were a few more students, as opposed to just the five of them, but she was getting along with her new family.

In the not too distant future, evolution has taken humanity down a different path. In a society where gender is controlled with numbers, one young man finds that being evolved might not be such a good thing.

The Gathering, Part One

I'm one of those people who actually likes school, but going there has gotten increasingly difficult, especially since I got my powers. I've had a hard time learning to control them, and I've even accidentally burst the toilet pipes at home more than once. I can't begin to count how many times we've called a plumber in to fix things. At least I'm not blowing up my TV anymore. I also haven't blown up the microwave in the past couple days. Aunt Holly was at least starting to tolerate this whole mess.

The Interview

I sighed. My first actual day on the job, yay! I mean, I was paid for the day I got hired, but this was my first real shift, spending six hours trudging around the city with Ms. Adamsen, or at the office. This was to be a special occasion, however, we were on our way to the offices of one Mr. Gustav Hammond, a multi-billionaire who just moved his headquarters to East City. No super heroing tonight, though. I actually had to put in a full shift at the Brigade.

I called Kirk from Janice's car .

“Thanks for giving me a pass on the working brunch. I had dinner at Dale Coughlin's and the conversation went so long, it just made more sense to stay the night.”

“Doctor Dale?”

“Yeah. He's my... well, we had a lot to discuss with the upcoming Asia trip.... especially after the ...premature end to the Europe tour.”

“Oh, right. I totally forgot. So, are you all recovered?”

“Fully certified and good to go.” I laughed.

“So last night was ...a housecall?”

Secret Origins, Part One

And so, one day, I woke up to find myself smack dab in the middle of a comic book.

I had a few odd sensations that day, beginning with waking to find something that obviously wasn't human standing above me on my bed. It looked human, sounded human, but very clearly wasn't human. The creature was a young woman, looking to be about twenty-six or twenty-seven. She reached down with one hand and touched me on the forehead. She giggled, then stood back up again.

Everyone knows that heroes are good and villains are bad, but what is a poor Imp to do when these roles get blurred.

This is a non-TG story that takes place in the Whateley Universe. This is also the third story about the Imp, with the first being The Art of Being the Imp and the second being Mission Imp-Probable. I plan on posting the new updates to this site a week after each one is posted on the official Whateley site.

“Nice to meet you.” Mand offered.

In the end, our visitors did indeed get Arwel’s Grand Tour and I stayed as far away from Alice and Arwel as I could, even tugging Sar away once or twice. Nothing to see, move along now. I got the call two weeks after they had all gone back East.
