It's worse in Michigan (both UP and Lower Michigan) and upstate New York but parts of SE Wisconsin NEAR Lake Michigan got clobbered by intense lake effect snow this Friday between 10 and 11 AM.
Lake Effect is moisture from the ice-free areas of huge lakes rising, cooling and falling as snow.
Some parts of Milwaukee County got approx. 2 inches of snow in under 1 hour.
Much fell in just ten minutes.
IE clear roads to skating rinks in minutes
I-94 eastbound was closed due to multiple accidents near Elm Grove Rd (just west of Milwaukee Co)
I saw cars spin out ahead of me when I went grocery shopping.
I saw one wrecked against a pedestrian island on my way home.
Bad timing but I promised my EVIL sister.
I survived unharmed. So did my car.
By noon it was sunny.
Northern Milwaukee Co got nothing.

Painesville (Grand River), Ohio
I lived there for almost a year and would guess that we got around 4 feet of snow. :)
