What makes HB 1442 particularly alarming is language critics say effectively criminalizes asserting a transgender identity in certain contexts. The bill narrows the legal protections for gender identity in New Hampshire’s nondiscrimination law and defines accessing certain sex-segregated spaces based on gender identity as an “improper purpose.”

In plain terms, the legislation creates a legal framework where simply stating or acting on one’s gender identity could be used against someone if they attempt to use facilities consistent with that identity.

And something he said resonated with me as a perfect comment in the current political climate - specifically regarding the Orange Baboon in the White House.

“Nearly all men can withstand adversity, but if you want to test a man’s character, give him power.”

Anybody else getting these messages? I got 7 messages from 3 different users yesterday wanting to turn my stories into comics. I have just come back with another meeting with Mike ( my personal angel. I wasn't so happy with my makeup this time. I don't get much practice, and I was very nervous going out.

My mother has been very ill and now has dementia. The last time I met with Mike was in November, I was told my mother was dying and had to rush back before I got a chance to dress. She recovered, and told me she went to heaven and was told she had to go back as it wasn't her time..
A near-death experience? You best make up you're own mind. I do believe there is something to it.

Good news: we got laundry and groceries done today.

Bad news: I am now a mass of pain.

Transgender Kansans Sue After Driver’s Licenses Are Abruptly Canceled

Two transgender Kansans asked a state judge on Friday to strike down a new law that abruptly invalidated the driver’s licenses of residents who had changed their gender designations.

Alan was right.

I just got her CT scan and it is not good.

The two lumps she had in January has gotten worse in her lungs.

The current guess is months but it is hard to tell as the progression is likely exponentially bad.

I have to decide on chemo or not as soon as I get the formal oncology report back as there is no point giving her chemo if the progression has already killed her quality of life.

I hate my life.

For all of you ladies and gentlemen who are in the states crushing transgender lives, you need to be ahead of the threat. I've mentioned before one may get a Colorado driver's license with requested gender on it. If pushed I would take out a PO address in Colorado for a residence and apply for a license transfer from Oklahoma to Colorado. Personally I strongly believe Oklahoma and several other states to follow Kansas in invalidating trans license, making us non citizens.

I can't keep up with writing two books at the same time. I work full time and I've got many interests. It's sad because I was really enjoying writing Derby City, but I need to finish "Mud Creek" first. I know where the story is going to go.

Holy smokes, I just applied to be a vendor at the fifth annual Davis County Pride Festival.

I’ve come a long way from secretly writing wish fulfillment stories to being an openly queer indie author tabling at events.

I gotta admit, it felt a little weird putting in the application. I helped organize the four prior festivals and served as vice-chair, so returning as a vendor feels like I’m coming full circle in the best way.

I was reading Michael Pollan’s new book, A World Appears, this evening. In his book, Pollan discusses the nature of consciousness and how we have democratized consciousness; how we have pushed consciousness downward to other mammals, cephalopods (like octopi), some types of insects (hive minds?), and possibly even plants.

Yesterday I had to call 911 for my wife after a fall. Her legs just gave out from under her and my daughter and I could not get her up. It was decided that it would be best to take her to the hospital.

Hello everyone I've heard this idea running around my head for some time. Hopefully by writing it out I will get rid of it.

Hi everyone!

I just completed a full week back at work after a week off for snow. Sadly I was sick that week with an upper respiratory infection. I usually write early in the morning, but all last week I woke up feeling like death warmed over and didn't feel better until the afternoon. Luckily, I guess, I got better right in time for work.
