Today I'll be posting a solo and will be off the site for a little while. I'm having a cataract operation on Wednesday and don't know when I'll be able to write again. This year has been a bit of a trial, and I've had a hard time concentrating on writing. I have two short serials that should finish off the rest of the year and hope to have something to post when '27 arrives. Thank you for reading my stories and making nice comments.

Cataracts
BTDT, got the t shirt. Modern surg. practices use a laser and a drop in replacement lens. I was able to drive the next day. Pretty close to 13 months later, I had to have some scar tissue lasered, done in the office instead of surgery center. Was able to drive 6 hrs. later. The really bad part is I am on my second pair of glasses since the initial surgery and while I can see, I don't feel I can see as well as I should.
Re: cataracts
I had both eyes done about 9 years ago and, just like Stacy had to have an in-office procedure to remove scar tissue. My surgeon did fantastic work, and within the same year, and still today, only wear glasses for reading and computer stuff. Pray the Goddess gives you similar results. Taking care of yourself is most important.

All good so far
My guy does his at the hospital where his main rooms are. Check in at 2pm, sit in a special chair, have lots of questions to answer, had drops in the eye, saw the anesthetist, more questions, more drops and something in the back of my hand. At 3-30, the chair was dropped back like a recliner, and I was wheeled into the area where he did the job. Back in the waiting area at 4 and given something to eat and drink. I was one of several in a production line. Out at five and having dinner just after six. I had worried for nothing. Have drops to put in for a few weeks but can see quite well already! Seeing him this afternoon. Have to wear dark glasses as the world is so much brighter!
Thanks for the comments.
