gotten to used to Facebook telling me about birthdays and never think to check other places. Sorry I missed it, as I know how it not being noticed feels. Mine was three weeks ago and really the only notice it got was Facebook msgs...

Ahhh, what am I going to do with you, hon? The reason artists are so good is they share their emotions with everyone and display it in their work. Think of actresses also in that same thought train. They need to be handled delicately like one would the finest crystal, or a beautiful flower. Rough handling ends disastrous for all.
Dates and events aren't really a top dog thing for some of us. I don't remember my own kids birthdays. After all these years all three of them call me a week or so ahead and every day there after up until the day. Then they call me first thing in the morning to remind me again. They understand and accepted dates are not my thing. They extract their revenge by teasing me mercilessly and plot together to give me erroneous dates.
Birthdays mean so much to some because it is that person's one special day when for at least a little bit of time happiness is allowed to seep into their lives. Knowing you like I do, happy birthday Elrod. All my love to one of the finest writers in my lifetime.]

One of my favorite
movies is; "Its a Wonderful Life." I know its but a movie but we don't know who we have indirectly helped along the way. I don't take note of my birthday much anymore. I'm tickled to make another year pass.

We had planned a big celebratory dinner with friends. There is a great restaurant that cooks everything in Scotch. And, that would mean that the beverage of choice would be a fine single malt.
Then, my spouse went blind in one eye.

Hospital next day.
Face down for 10 days! Yikes!
We're on day three. It's yukky, but better than being blind, when all you have to do is lie on your face and all will be well.
