To those who talk to me on SKYPE. I have huge issues with it right now because Microsoft installed it on my desktop using my real name. I am trying to fix this but it looks hopeless right now. So, I will not be using skype.

uninstall it fully and try a reinstall from skype direct and don't click any --fast install deals --just enter in info slowly?

just looked up Skype and you can edit name showing and public profile on that page in 'edit' profile

If you use windows live mail,
If you use windows live mail, it might overwrite your profile, using your default account there. Some other mail apps do the same, supposedly to enable messenger service, which has been farmed out to skype.

Discord is great. I still use Skype but Discord is a lot easier. I have a server set up for my MMO guild and we love it :)
I use skype, heck i still use teamspeak.
I was surprised to see TeamSpeak is making a comeback, i will have to look into Discord.

You probably have Windows 8,
You probably have Windows 8, 8.1, or 10, and created a "microsoft live account" for your system (even though you didn't need it). Once you do that, any and all programs associated with microsoft will attempt to use that Live account data to configure themselves.
One solution is to create a new _Local_ account/profile with a short name on the PC, and abandon the live account for your day to day work.
I'll get a life when it's proven and substantiated to be better than what I'm currently experiencing.
