Nothing like that at all
It's just the servers keep getting out of sync due to heavy traffic. We need to replace some servers with faster ones and we will as soon as we can get the money together and Piper has time to do the work.

A nice AMD EPYC server might be the way to go
Lots of cores/IO for a very reasonable price. I think in this case 'faster' just means the need for a lot of cores to serve up lots of web pages, instead of needing huge single core performance.
