A couple of days ago I was invited to be a guest speaker at a reading of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights on Sunday 25th October at 2pm (tomorrow!)
The venue is Colchester Arts Centre in Essex (UK) and there's 30 guest speakers including a few local activists and the local Member of Parliament. If nothing else I should meet a few interesting people!
Oh, it's on the stage and the press will be present!

Who's the MP?
Or, perhaps more significantly, what Party affiliation? Being Essex and fairly rural (I've sailed out of Malden in the distant past though I'm not at all local), I would guess Tory but the last GE turned up some unusual results.
Colchester
Local MP is Pam Cox Labour. Historically Colchester returned Liberal/LibDem MPs not Tory. NE Essex is Tory whilst Clacton-On-Sea (my current home) is under Farage.
My personal politics is "none of the above"

I did it
That was different, in a good way.
Just finished the reading of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. I volunteered for Article 19.
30 articles in total and 30 speakers booked but only 27 of the booked guest speakers actually attended however 3 of those were trans !!
