A little light in this dark chain of events is the VA still accepts everyone except bi gender. One must designate themself as either M or F to visit the VA. I've had two conformations on this. With Trump exec order declaring those such as myself as non existent, no such life form as transgender, it was better to make sure instead of waiting to find out.
