Of all places, that we would state that Robert DeNiro’s transgender daughter was outed as that is more accurate. You would think that people here would be a little more careful about referring to her as “his son”.

If you read the full article, she didn’t “come out”, but rather was outed in a rather nasty article which also referred to her as a “nepo baby” even though she has never been awarded work due to her father’s name and has been kept very far out of the public eye by her parents.

Airyn spoke about how, weeks before this interview in March, they were outed by paparazzi before they could publicly announce it themselves on their own terms.

Subsequent articles were accompanied by comments filled with criticism and harsh insults. They have endured bullying and worse all their life as biracial and non-gender conforming. Although they have never traded off their father's celebrity, they have been accused of being a Nepo Baby.

One of the things that hurts our community the most is that others are determined to define what we are instead of listening to us about WHO we are. Ms. DeNiro faced that same scrutiny as articles made more of a point of how different they looked than actually asking them about themselves.
