I was dismayed to read that Huston's Children's Hospital, the largest pediatric hospital in the country has been 'persuaded' by the Texas Attorney General to set up a free 'detransition clinic' for children as well as stopping treatment such as puberty blockers. Apparently it is seen as a triumph for your President who of course has nothing more important on his mind.

Detransition for children???
Sounds more like conversion therapy to me. Any parent who sends their child to this kind of bullshit brainwashing clinic should be arrested for child abuse, and any doctor who takes part in the practice should not only lose their license to practice medicine, but should also be jailed.
This type of pseudo-science is exactly what I would expect from the MAGA extremes in Texas! Nazi’s every one.

Detransition....
In a very conflicted way, I have decided that FOR ME, being transgendered is BS. On one hand, I have to concede that if I had not transitioned, I would not be alive. On the other, it hurt my family in an inexcusable way. I was never transgendered, I was a very feminine, un gay, male. I have lots of company.

that people in power in Texas would have more serious things to consider, rather than bullying hospitals to fit their own world view.
What might come next? A psychiatric ward for those who believe in evolution ? A gunshot wounds clinic for the under fives?
I understand, but fundamentally oppose, the idea of making it harder for young people to access puberty blockers. It is wrong, and will lead to a lot of heartache and probably suicides of vulnerable young people, but I do see the thought process behind it, despite the hysterical language used by populist politicians. (Kemi Badenoch, UK Tory leader, described supplying under eighteens with puberty blockers as "mutilating children" which misses the point so widely that her comment must have been written by that Wizard Woman).
But detransitioning? As Dallas has said, that is just another word for brainwashing.
