EHRC rules - UK bathrooms etc

The Breast Form Store - NEXT TO PERFECT - NOW ON SALE

Following on from Leeanna's posting: The new guidelines, which are set to cause much grief for those of us in the UK have been placed before Parliament for their approval.

There is a mechanism in our Parliament called an "Early Day Motion" - in itself it will not decide anything or even force debate, it is more like a survey or petition MPs can sign up to. However, if it gets enough support that might help it get debate time which could possibly change things.

EDM 240 basically calls for the EHRC rules to be disapproved. It currently has the support of just over 130 MPs (out of about 650 as I recall), which is a good start but will likely not be sufficient - but more can still sign up. My MP has signed up, possibly encouraged by the emails I sent last May. If you are a UK citizen please consider contacting your MP, it's not yet too late.

Interesting to note that zero Conservative or Reform MPs have signed so far, but all the other parties have multiple signatories.

The Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood said: "Nobody should be forced to live a smaller life in this country because of their faith." She was talking about Jews in the UK. Why is it OK that Trans women be forced to live "smaller lives"?
