Watching Twilight 2 for about the 4th time to keep the daemons at bay tonight when I was struck at the similarities between it and Bike. Simon and Cathy are saying the same things to each other as Bella and Edward.

Never understood that series. Stopped following it after just a few episodes. Bike has helped me dig through the smoking wreckage of my own life.
Romance
They are both fiction. Beyond that, I doubt that a single person that frequents BCTS would not wish for Cathy's experiences, though I would likely be more respectful of the Lady. From a writer's point of view, Twilight is perhaps more openly romantic, and Bella, the female protagonist has two men who love her, but suspect that is female ego reinforcement. I suspect that the same people are involved in the production of Twilight, 50 Shades, and one whose name I can not remember.
There are many good authors here, some who are absolutely stellar, and sometimes I wish that there was a bit more family rated romance.
