One Dozen Roses

12roses.jpg

Join a dozen Roses as they attend the SWEET Conference (South Western Exposition for the Embetterment of Transwomen/Transpeople, depending on who you ask.) Rose Gallagher is a registrar for the conference and notices that there are 12 Roses in attendance. On a whim, she contacts them and suggests a meeting of the Roses to share a bit about their choice of the name Rose.

Seven authors collaborate on one story to tell us about

One Dozen Roses

Please help me to decide....

I really need help in reigning in what to actually try to work on...another author informed me that I have too many irons in the fire.

I know, in the end it should be my decision...but I think I need a push off the diving board to actually finish at least ONE project before jumping to another.

So...
I’ve prepared a list of titles...and if I could get a comment or two, three, or four...on which one to buckle down on and complete:

Stories

I‘m not trying to storm the board but thought about adding a few chapters back to the stories that were removed, or in the case of “Cherry Moone”, the first chapter was removed.

“A Window to Your Heart” on Amazon

On Thursday, the first book I tried to have published...with limited success...will be free for two days.

This book was on BC but had to be removed due to Amazon’s practices. If you never read it before, give it a few pages.

“the best damn thing” for free

It’s on the site, but, starting Sunday the 7th of June until the 11th, the ebook for “the best damn thing” will be free on Amazon.

Not a lot has been changed from the version on the site, with the exception of some naming and grammar errors.
I am trying to work on the plot points for the continuation, “Sweet, but Psycho” (a sample of it is here on BC)

To Be a Different Someone...sale

I’ve placed my second book on sale for .99 for the next five days. I decided that it needed to be be refined to remove some formatting issues (and there were plenty of those....and there may be some that remain...sorry) and to place the chapter titles back into the text as they were removed due to possible “infringements” in the original text.

I removed some filler words...not all of them, since I speak in a similar matter, so will my characters.

What do to with a short story trilogy

When I completed writing “The Best Damn Thing” I thought I would just set it aside but only a day later I had the start of a continuation of the storyline through the eyes of another character.
And then today, I wanted to go further with a third version.

So the three are:
The Best Damn thing. —Michaela Leigh
Sweet But Psycho —Anthony Cox
Good For Me. —Randy Cox

The Best Damn Thing

I want to thank everyone who has taken the time to read through “TBDT”.
I am working on the final chapter, “Keep Holding On” and, unlike other times, it will be posted as complete instead of in pieces.

Afterwards, I will need to re-work on chapter one due to the changes made during the course of the storyline.

Thank you again.

MooneShadows on Amazon

Author:

MooneShadows Is now live on Amazon.

I placed a thank you to all of the readers on BCTS on the special thanks page.
I am still finding small errors...good thing I had a haircut yesterday, otherwise, I would be pulling it all out as I see a missing period or a form instead of form.

Story removals

I regret that Amazon has sent me a “nice” e-mail that they have detected my stories on the site...so...I regret I will need to have them removed.
I have contacted Erin about the issue.

The following stories will be removed from the site:
To Be a Different Someone
Who I am
A Window to Your Heart
Bloomsday
Desert Rose

“Are You Happy?”

I want to thank everyone who has read “Are You Happy?”

Like “The Best Damn Thing” there are a lot of auto-biographical situations within the story.

Here is the chapter list. I hope to have it completed soon so I can try to complete the other “starters” I have left on the battlefield.

Idea I’m working on: “Ridge Racer”

Ever since I played the first home version of the game on the PlayStation I wanted to, somehow, write the script of a book based on Namco’s Ridge Racer. In my version the racing team had a blind driver who uses sound and vibrations within the car to successfully drive it. The car is also equipped with mag-lev wheels which allows the wheels to disconnect from the car for extremely tight turns.

It took a few years until I saw the opening for the PSP version of the game and thought, I have found my character model for both the team car and driver.

It Can Only Go Up From Here

6,800 words into “It Can Only Go Up From Here”.

The story takes place one month after the events in “To Be a Different Someone” and I decided to include the social and political issues that I didn’t want to hang onto Jennifer’s shoulders in the first book but it just seems that it had to come to place that there are going to be people who will hate her for no reason except their own prejudices and intolerance.

"A Change Will Do You Good" dialogue sample for chapter 2

a segment from chapter II: "Every day is a Winding Road"

Spencer is in Orange Beach, Alabama, walking to the beach to join the rest of his extended family when he sees a girl reading one of his books. He likes the way she looks, even if its in a swim top and shorts, but he doesn't want to look like he's ogling so he decides to ask a question about the book she's reading:

Flashback and other ideas I've had for 21 years or so

Flashback

I know, the title is not original...nor is the concept, but it deals with a girl who can go back in time by literally taking a step back. She can go back to a particular day and retain the knowledge of what occurred.

There are times where her powers bring her to situations where there are more of her in the same moment in time and they have to solve the quantum puzzle at hand. I had one scene in particular where her girlfriend has been accused of murdering someone and in her attempt to clear her name she is shot which causes a paradox.
