question
I am liking your story a lot and I can not wait to see what happens next. But I do have a question and a comment.
If I understand your story corectly in the past mankind was able to destoy most of the magicaly community. This was done in the age of arrows and swords. Today is the age of Nukes and biological wepons. In the next chapters will we see how the Magical community deals with these new wepons?
Now the comment. If I was the leader of a nation say the US, China or Russia and knew that there was a group of beings that wanted to destory not only my nation but humanity as well. I would do everything in my power to make this planet a barren lifeless rock. And with current techonology this could happen.
Once again thank you for a great read.

This is all very true,
This is all very true, however there are a couple of problems inherent. First of all, regardless of whatever problems humanity may or may not have, humans overall have an incredibly strong desire to live. It'd take a madman to actually push the trigger and turn the Earth into a wasteland, just because of sheer self-preservation. Even in the face of impossible odds, humans still try.
Second and more relevant to where the story could end up going, the Time causes several problems. You never know who might have Manifested as a result of it, even at high levels of government/military...and there are vengeful mythic powers that have literally planned this for centuries, all while hiding amongst humanity. They've seen the best and the worst that humanity has to offer, and they're very aware of such weapons, and have developed countermeasures. What exactly those are, I won't say...we'll get there!
July 11th...
A weird coincidence you know. I, for one, 'prize' myself sometimes for being born on the day of very destructive earthquake. December 7th, 1988.
And my brother was born 3.5 years prior, on July 11th. I'd say the 'birthday gift' he'd receive in this reality would have been immense. And the fact that we both live in the center of Yekaterinburg, the city that has more than a million inhabitants...
And do you know of Yosh! webcomic? It also has the reemergence of magic as part of recent (10 years prior) backstory.
I'm rambling right?
Okay, I'd say that everyone who is not gifted, or who is somehow bigoted, is going to find someone to blame. The twins' parents were throw-in-the-swamp-for-good-measure assholes! I mean, it's onr thing to deny the unseen, and quite another to reject your own flesh and blood just because they suddenly don't fit your worldview. I prefer agnisticism - it's more accepting.
I'm sure though that at the very least the reds were flying around spreading more fire. After all, in the chaos of the Time of Renewal, nobody's going to blink twice on dragons.
Also, if there were angel Manifestations, demons are bound to happen. And Djinni, too...
Faraway
P.S. If something like that happens IRL, dibs on cold and ice manipulation and imperviousness! :)

Wow has it ever. Guess the setup is finished now?
Beware of Gloss
I feel like you glossed over a few things in this chapter, like what happened to the parents and more in-depth reaction of the two sisters, but I'm still enjoying the story.
I look forward to the building of alliances and more of the training. It sounds a bit chaotic now. That's understandable. I'm sure it'll take awhile for the story to gel. I'll be patient.
Hurray for centaurs! I hope more of them join with Cyntheria. They fascinate me.
Thanks!
