Thank you for posting this, I was afraid you'd abandon the story.
A short, but sweet chapter, furthers the timeline and brings us to the next conflict—resolution with family. I love the constant identity questions here, who's accepting, who isn't and how.
The rampant typos are still present as well… But wait a second. Are you telling me that Cassie's mother was sharing her daughter's worn underthings with a different girl? Even ignoring the whole just turned vs. adopted child issues, that needs some explaining. In most parts of the country, that is a major taboo.
Still, looking forward to the ‘mother and child reunion’. Please keep sharing!

If you can just bare with the typos until I can get some editing that would be great. I am not the best writer out there and I am not planning to be. We all have our weakness and our strengths. My strong point is creativity and so I plan to emphasize that with interesting stories. Also I may need a new editor. :(

I've had a lot of strange things happen to me -- nothing like turning into a sword but still strange. Perhaps I identify with the Terry in this story. I like to think so. I wonder how I would handle the situation. This is fun and interesting. Bring on the zombies!

Mrs. Hellion and her mom rather calm
Mr. Hellion came around rather quickly believing the girl he was seeing was the Terry he knew.
Mrs. Hellion hadn't even seen Terry the girl and she believed he had changed. And Terry's mom was too accepting that Terry had changed.
There's a bunch of smelly fish floating at the edge of shore. It's as though the parents knew this would happen, expected it to happen, and it took the monsters and Duncan to make it happen. Could they all be in this together: the parents, Howard and Miranda, and Duncan and his helpers? Sure seems like it.
Others have feelings too.
