Perfect
The punishment fits the crime. Is there any chance that in the egg she could change back to Larry's shape? More learning experience for Peta. This really has potential for a long and interesting series.
Genie Wishes
Ah, a human being turned into a djinni AND not being bound by all the rules. I like it... And now with the crystal being nearly indestructable... She can pick and choose who she obeys wishes from, or offers them to in the first place, and veto ones that are too harmful or stupid. She can stick with the "You have three wishes" cliche when introducing herself to her new masters, even though she's not limited to that rule either. And if someone is particularly smart or ethical or otherwise earns her respect in his/her wishing, she can come up with an excuse to grant them "bonus wishes". Maybe something like "Your wish for the children's hospital to get much needed funding was selfless and didn't benefit you, so the ancient laws that bind me allow me to grant you another wish to make up for it..." If she's really the last genie on the planet, she can claim the rules are anything she wants them to be, as long as she makes it sound good.
Hey, she could even get them to wish for things SHE wants (since apparently she can't initiate wish magic herself, but has to do it in response to a mortal making a wish). Something like: "Instead of the usual three wishes, if you speak this wish... [hands mortal a piece of paper with what to say] ...I am permitted by the ancient laws I am bound by to grant you two additional wishes." Maybe she can even get one to wish for her to have shape shifting abilities, with her current appearance being her default form.
Even if I didn't envy the hot djinni body she has, I'd love to be in that situation. So much potential... *sigh*
Loved the story, as usual, Morpheus.

Suffering from Djinni Envy
Amazing
How many of the stories you write seem to be great for sequels, I'm adding this to my "would like a sequel" list ;)
Many of Morpheus' stories
Many of Morpheus' stories have ending like this, personally I like this as I can come up with future scenrios involving his characters.
The Best of a bad
situation. That's a common theme in many of Morpheus's stories. This one is a great one with the wronged victim getting creative revenge and yet not tainted by it. Fun!

very nice take on the genie story
well done.
I guess it could be ...
worse for Peter ... or should we say Peta , At least Nahli seems to have been reasonably fair, Which given what he did to his former best friend does seem remarkably lenient, And you have to say the way Nahli set up Peter for his punishment showed just how clever she can be.... Pity anyone else who crosses our new Djinni , Next time someone might find lily ponds seem a nice place to live!

Genies everywhere!
Seems like spring is the time for Djinn. With you writing this and with my stories starting to feature Genie-like beings and whatnot, wonder if everyone will be writing one?
Speaking of which, I've fallen in love with Nahli there. I want to see her finally "hatch." Hopefully some sequels are coming (I bet you here that with all of your stories). ;D
Sorry, but I wrote this story
Sorry, but I wrote this story several years ago and there are no sequels to it and none that are really planned.
The waking world is but a dream.
More please
It would be nice to see more from this story eventually getting to the point where she goes back to the world of the djinn and what that is like.
hugs :)

Wow!
This is one of the best turned-into-a-genie stories I have ever read.
After reading this for the
After reading this for the third or fourth time, I have to add a comment saying I had to read it several times because it is just SO GOOD!
