Leftovers!
I guess I'm one of the strange ones, because I love leftovers! Given a choice between the extra food from yesterday and new food for today, I will take the leftovers (almost) every time. To me the food has only gotten better somehow, the flavors are richer.

i hate having to toss out food.
only two of us here. we were given a 16 pound turkey and all the fixings.
we made a lot of care plates and gave them out.
with my heart and lucy's hips getting around is not easy but we manage.
Leftovers?

You don't have to cook them.
A few microwaves and they're piping hot.
Leave them alone and their nicely chilled.
Bread plus thinly sliced turkey, possibly with cranberry sauce or even thinly sliced stuffing.

Turkey sandwiches get old
Turkey sandwiches get old very quickly...there's only so many ways you can reuse leftover turkey, especially if you have a seasoned bird. My aunt and uncle were upset that for the first time since I was a kid I refused to take their leftover turkey. Normally they try to sweeten the deal by giving me his rice and pigeon peas, but this year I had a lot of my own that I couldn't eat any more!
