The family has just returned from DC, and we are settling back in. Hanah is a godsend, and has been indispensable in getting us settled back.
I apologize for being away for several weeks. Our father, the general, has passed away.
As soon as I have gotten back to normal (or the closest I can be to normal again), I promise to be more active and hopefully back to posting stuff. For now, I need a little alone time.
I hope you understand.

Take your time to grieve
Dear Roberta,
My sympathy goes out to you and your family. Please take your time to grieve, and to process the loss of your father. If his death was sudden and/or unanticipated, then you will likely need more time to process your grief, than if the end was anticipated and you all had time to prepare in advance.
As I said, take your time to grieve. And do what you feel is necessary to process your grief. We will wait patiently until you feel able to interact with our community here. But many of us are also willing to lend a sympathetic listening ear, if you feel the need to just rant as a pressure relief valve.
