If one is having as much Hell as I am the past two weeks logging into familiar and known sites it may not be one's computer has been hijacked nor corrupted. It could be one's net provider changed their basic hub. For instance from Clinton, Oklahoma, to Canute, Oklahoma, to Dallas and back to Enid, Oklahoma, and right now it's shifted to Oklahoma City. Each shift has the sites I normally and automatically log into refusing to handshake with my computer as they no longer recognize the hub. For AI purposes it seems I am moving locations each time my provider connects to a different hub. This is a recognized hijacked computer to the AI.
Some of the older sites I log into were back in the late seventies and dial up. Later in the eighties of net towers and dish it was one provider feeding back into AT&T fiber optic cable. The base net provider never changed. Besides computers going belly up, Hard drives getting corrupted. The never ending world of floppies to small disks and jump drives, computer life was insane but manageable with a lot of choice words.
What they are doing now changing base hugs is beyond my control and frustrating beyond measure.
Hugs People, just a heads up if you are experiencing the same.

I've never had the problem to that extent.
I do have that kind of thing happen when I'm in bill-paying mode. To combat it, I have flash drive with all my user names and their passwords that I can plug in and cut and paste the information.
Even at that, some of the sites still give me fits. I'm looking at you Home Depot.

Remember me?
Do you have Remember Me ticked? If so, the other end will expect your end to have the same IP address or one within a small range (subnet). That could upset things.
Similarly, my ISP sometimes changes our address and some sites think I'm someone new so subject me to endless Captcha tests. Then two days later it all goes away and things are fine again.
You do know AI stands for Absolute Imbecile?

Absolute Imbecile?
I love the „Absolute Imbecile“! I always considered AI to stand for Absolute Idiot-
Yes, been having issues

Windows updates
Pretty much every month, after the second Tuesday Windows patch update, some, but not all, sites think I'm on a different computer. I always thought it was caused by the update itself, but it might have been that my ISP (AT&T fiber) assigned me a new IP address through DHCP when I rebooted the computer. Usually, the only time I reboot is for the monthly update.
I use a password management application which both generates unique complex passwords and then stores them. I strongly recommend such an application, of which there are several.
Very Limited
So far, I do not use the computer for anything financial other than Banking and a certain online store. Too many of the others have tried nefarious tactics. Some "people" on the Web are likely tracking my activities, so I try to watch what is going on with my Bank closely.
Something happened with my password on BCTS, so now i am ahabidah, rather than Gwen Brown.
