Anybody else getting these messages? I got 7 messages from 3 different users yesterday wanting to turn my stories into comics. They're very spammy looking; only one of the users actually bothered to say what story of mine they were looking at, and then only by using the option to send a message from the story that includes the title of the story in the title of the message.

DeviantArt is awash with these offers
Since I haven't written anything lately and may never again I'm reposting a lot of my stories on DA,
which is basically like dropping them down a well for all the interest or responses I get there...
And when I finally get a comment there I'm heartbroken to discover it's one of these offers
to illustrate my story, which from the wording it's obvious they haven't even read it,
or know who I am they just send these out to everybody. If these rip-offs are at BCTS too
i guess it's just the latest sleazy scam, so don't engage them or meet them on Discord
like they often suggest, and ESPECIALLY don't disclose any personal
information they might be phishing for in order to rob you blind....

I received one such message, and I thought it rude not to reply. He/she then mentioned my story title (just recently posted), but didn't mention the content.
I don't know how I'll respond further.

I received several as well. One person did asked about doing Abandoned and Gina's youngest daughter.

Four of these on Tuesday, 3 different sources but clearly all from the same ‘person’ by the wording and content. The tone was very complimentary but none mentioned any specific title.
No idea what discord even is!
As these arrived by sn, they must be from a signed up BC member no?

Thanks for the confirmations. Six of the messages from two of the users have been deleted, presumably with the accounts getting blocked.
Erin is on the case
and may well ban that user and their multiple accounts.
I got 5 such messages from 3 accounts.
I declined politely. They are after paid commissions.

I received two, from different accounts, and ignored them. By the next day they had been removed by Erin/Piper & co.

Yup. Message starts with a 'I'd love to work with you' and moves swiftly on to 'I'm a paid artist...'

And I thought that Draft2Digital were bad!
There's always somebody who thinks they can glom onto your intellectual property and expect a cut in exchange for crappy services, isn't there? Well, it seems as if this community isn't easily fooled. I've had people trying variations of this scam at fanfiction.net for years. (Over there, they nix the accounts of the scammers pretty quickly, too.)
