The first part of Penny Lane's sweeping SciFi epic now available as an ebook!
A trade caravan toils over a remote mountain pass. One of the guards notices a body lying off to one side... it is no ordinary body, and the consequences of their discovery will shake a world.
An unconscious girl is discovered on a remote mountain pass by a caravan. Everything about her raises unusual questions. She is taken to the trader's destination, where her memory returns...
Her story is met with disbelief but a kidnap attempt changes everything. A fantasy? Possibly. Mystery? Several times over. Romance? Just ask the Prince. Adventure? Oh, yes.
Dropped into an unfamiliar setting - and an unfamiliar body - the stranger struggles to understand her surroundings and why she is there at all. Just the beginning of an adventure with foes two-legged, four-legged and six legged!

I’ll buy the books if the last has those chapter before the epilogue you have been holding out on.

Chapters before the epilogue?
If you mean, what happened next in the original thread when Garia returns, then I would advise you not to hold your breath.
That happened a year after she departed Anmar and will be told in Return to Anmar, of which I have about 10 chapters written so far. Given the current speed of writing and the fact that some of it depends on what happens in Voyage of the Visund, I'm limited as to how far I can go before I finish that.

I should say...
I really like your cover art. Except if that is supposed to be Garia in the foreground, I sort of pictured her with the typical Japanese school girl Pixey cut and look for her hair. Of course since she's out doors, maybe it is just the wind in her hair.
Cover art
Actually, since I can draw no better that the average Gorilla, the cover art is by courtesy of Erin. I merely provided some textual starting ideas. I think it is intended to represent Garia at the very start, when the caravan is coming down the mountains and has yet to reach Palarand, so her hair is the untidy mix it was before Shelda got to work on it.
As with all things commercial, the image is a compromise between what is in the text and what is likely to sell. Thinking up covers for the rest of the books is going to be a lot harder.

Art
The art is the result of about six hours of writing careful prompts and watching Chat-GPT twist my suggestions into Something Else Entirely. :) I can't take much credit for the really rather excellent images, but I he'ped, and I did do most of the typography. And Penny acted as art director, nixing various attempts and suggesting changes through the iterations.
I can draw and could do a cover with all those elements, but not with near photographic realism, and we would still be waiting for delivery of the cover when the lake thaws at the end of the next ice age. :)
This works, and the AI is credited inside the book and in the metadata; no one is fooled, least of all the appaloosapotamus (dranakh).

AI being twisty...
I'm using NotebookLM to help me with tracking characters. I'm still not pleased with it. Frankly I just want a list of all the names I've used in the story.... It doesn't even do that well....
Aleph Two ?
Aleph Two ?
Glad to see this get a wider audience.
Yay!!!
I was hoping you'd do this! I've bought mine. Is that Helen in the drivers seat?

this wonderful story.
There are a few books here on the website that I would actually buy, this story being one of them.
My problem is I'm getting more allergic to Amazon Books and audio. Their content keeps getting modified? I've heard of one author having to take down his entire Saga because it does not currently meet Amazon's guidelines even though it's been there 20 plus years. I've got audio books that apparently have two versions now. The only difference is the length of the story. My guess is Modifications to meet the guidelines again.
How for you let us know when this becomes available somewhere else.
In the meantime I'll just settle on reading my downloaded version of this wonderful story.

We tried
We tried making books available elsewhere. In six months with about 60 titles made available, we sold 18 books through non-Amazon channels. And it cost us thousands of dollars in lost revenue from Amazon.
Like it or not, and we don't like it, Amazon is the marketplace for books.

I agree
I agree that Amazon is the only place that people are willing to buy and sell books. I also have to agree that Amazon's policy of exclusivity has destroyed everyone else is attempt that. I hate it as hell but financially sellers have no choice.
The 3 books I have on Kindle are painting the ass to read.

CrAmazon!
When Amazon was first formed it was a way around the 'gate keepers' of the major publishing houses. Now they've become in essence the only publishing house, and certainly the only retailer. All I have to say to that is that they have become far worse than that which they replaced. I've been toying with ways to commercialize my work. Anyone who wants to look, can see what little I've posted at SOL. I know it is generally bad manners to post the site of another publisher. Yet I think that given the bad behavior of CrAmazon it may well be time for the smalls to see if they can't do something that will go around the new 800 LB gorilla.
I've also looked into patreon, for as much as I can parse their TOS, not being a lawyer, if they determine I'm producing pornography, or other 'objectionable' material, and that is a very broad category!! They can refuse to forward money 'given' to me and refuse to return it to 'donors' as well, and how they can legally do that I have no clue!? Did they buy some legislature somewhere!?
Anyway, I'm trying to figure out how to develop a single person revenue stream. I'm a reasonably accomplished proofreader, and without a reference I'm willing to currently work for a recommendation, though I'd like to earn at least $0.005 per word to start with. I believe if I'm running my math correctly that would run at $0.50 (all figures are US dollars) per thousand. Now that is low, but I'm on a disability pension with nothing to do with my time except read or write.
Which brings me back to patreon and their TOS and them being unwilling to have work like mine receive funding. You all can object to my subject matter but be careful that your objections don't end up coming back to haunt you!
Hmm. My math says that $0.005
Hmm. My math says that $0.005 per word is $5.00 per thousand words.
You're right
I shouldn't do math at midnight my time... Though that's half what you'd pay at the very lowest end through any service. I read a lot, as in millions of words per year, I don't have a patreon page yet, so it's somewhat moot anyway.
