Hi everyone,
I have a new story coming soon, and before I post it, I need your help with something important.
The cover.
I’ve put together a few possible cover images, and now I’m stuck trying to choose the right one. Since you’re the ones who will hopefully be reading the story when it goes live, I thought it would be fun to let you guys help me decide.
For the moment, I’d love to know which cover catches your eye first, which one feels the most intriguing, or feels like the strongest first impression.
Please take a look at the options below and leave your vote in the comments. You can simply tell me which cover you prefer, or, if you feel like sharing more, I’d love to know why that one stood out to you.
Your feedback always means a lot to me, and I thought it would be fun to let you be part of this little step before the story goes live.
Thank you, as always, for reading, commenting, and sharing your thoughts. I’m excited to see which one you choose.
Love,
Emma

Honestly
They all look the same to me, so any of them would be fine. I do prefer the script on Option 5.
Long time no see
Hey Joanne
I hope you have been fine and well!
Thanks. Yeah i just liked the image and after a lot of trial and error I got something I liked so I didnt want to really play around with trying to make other covers. What I thought should pop out was the cover font.
If I am being honest, 5 is what I am leaning towards mostly, but I do like 3 as well. The others are good, but it's hard to choose. LOL.
Hopefully, you will give this story a chance, as you did with TGIU, and have more words of encouragement.
Love,
Emma
I actually prefer option six……..
Although the differences are small, I like the contrast between the two types of script used. The title script flows nicely and is attractive, and by keeping the author’s name in simple printed block letters you show a distinct separation between the title and your name - something which those not familiar with the author might not otherwise understand.

Hey D Eden
Thanks for the comments. Yeah, I wanted to try to create some options with distinctions. Right now, a comment from someone on FM gave me an idea: maybe change the author font and credit from 2 to 6 or 5... I will try it...
5-6 and 4
Author, option 4
Title, option 5
I'll try it out!
Thanks for the suggestion! Will try it out...
Six
Yeah, like Dallas said.

Great...
Thanks for the vote!
I'm in the camp...
of the author and title being diff fonts... So, 4 for author and 3 or 5 for the title. <3 I'd like to mention that in the face of the woman she captures / holds a lot of promise from an interesting read and the title backs up that much is likely going to be revealed. Excellent work!!

I tried...
... Something different with fonts for author and title...

This was the result.
Very nice!
Like I stated before, the differing fonts really sets off the author from the title, and the title should always be in a larger font.
I have purchased plenty of books in my day based solely on who the author was, but it always seems kind of arrogant to have the author’s name larger than the title of the book.

Like the two different fonts
But I like the author designation in script, and book title in plain readable characters. I think the script gives personality to the author line. The plain readable characters for the book title to me would be most eye-catching for understanding the book topic.
One more vote . . . .
I definitely like the different fonts for the author line(s) and the title, and I definitely like the title used in options five and six. But I prefer the font used in the author attribution shown in option three to option four. Because it is slightly larger and bolder it doesn’t fade into the background quite as much, and using all caps creates an additional point of contrast with the selection five/six fonts for the title.
The face on the cover looks . . . Complicated. I like it!

I guess...
...the general consensus is in. Most readers seem to like the script font but seems to like a credited author title i.e 'A Novella by' but with a different font. I got one made but I'll still try different fonts in canva and see how it goes.
