on one of the worst days of my life, a little girl tried to make me feel better.
I got a phone call at work saying my grandfather had died, and so I took the day off, got my then girlfriend and went to her parent's house.
They were babysitting their granddaughter who couldn't have been more than 3. I crawled onto my girlfriend's bed, and this little one decided to tuck me in.
Little acts of kindness make a big impact, folks.

The kindness & love of little sunshine girls...
...can make all the difference in turning a horrible day into a pleasant one, as I know myself all too well. :-) This is so utterly adorable. And yes indeed, those little acts of random kindness throughout a day can have a positive impact that those who show/do them are often unaware of by default. Just reading about this secondhand brought a smile to my face and brightened my mood a little bit yesterday (which was a difficult, dark day), so it had resounding impact like ripples in a pond even very indirectly! Funny how that works.
