Updated Destiny ebook

For anyone that is interested I've uploaded updated versions of the eBook (in pdf and epub format) for the final book in my Ragnarok Rising trilogy, Destiny: Legacy of a Spellbinder. The changes are not major, but they are there. The text is now identical to the previous minor revisions already made here on the web version and I've made some changes to the formatting.

I've updated the links on all the affected organizer pages.

Preferred serial length, B4E story images & story update

First off I'd like to start off this blog by taking a bit of a poll... I know I'm likely to get a broad range of answers, but I'm wondering what is your preferred length for a serial? I will try chose the more natural breaking points, but really its not that difficult with my writing style to find a good break points. Right now I'm leaning towards breaking things up into pieces ranging from about 3000 to 6000 words, but I was wondering what you guys and gals all thought.

Now on to the rest of the blog...

So... I know some people aren't going to understand this, but I'm rather happy I've finally figured this out and I need to share. (I'll post a story update below so that the whole blog isn't a complete waste). I've been driving myself up the wall trying to figure out a discrepancy in word count between Scrivener and a compiled document when loaded in MS Word or Libre Writer. Scrivener, is a word processor geared toward writers and is probably the best the purchase I've ever made. It let's you organize your story into sub-documents which can be dragged and dropped anywhere you like.

Writing Future

Well now that I've posted the first part of 'Destiny: Legacy of a Spellbinder' I thought I'd pop in and tell folks about my upcoming projects. I've started up on a sequel to Hunger Pangs which I've tentatively titled 'Appetite for Seduction'. I have written much of anything in the last few days, but I'm at around 4000 words.

First off, thanks everyone for the help with my previous blog. It really helped me get past a small dilemma I'd been having.

Hunger Pangs ebook cover and Ragnarok Rising update

Hunger Pangs eBook Cover

Well, over the last few days I've been compiling my stories into eBook and making them look all nice and 'perdy', but I ran into a bit of snag when creating the eBook for Hunger Pangs. The images I used as the cover here on BCTS just wouldn't work for an ebook well at least not and look good. The dimensions were wrong and they were too small. I really didn't want to recreate the images so I got to thinking and did a redesign of the cover using the existing images and combined them with a new image to make this:

Any interest in eBooks?

So, I decided to make eBooks out of my stories. Originally, my intent was to create them so that I could put them on my tablet for my own use (for reference purposes), but I got to thinking that maybe other folks might like to have copies.

So I guess what I'm wondering is would people be interested in having a copy of my stories in epub, mobi or pdf format?

50,000 words

50,000 Words

Well I took a look at my current word count on the third story in the Ragnarok Rising Trilogy 'Destiny' today and I realized something. I have over 50,000 words which makes it my longest tg story yet. Hunger pangs is somewhere around, 38,000 words, Incompatible is around 27,000 words and the revised version of Transfigured is about 16,000 words.

Glossary Update

I've updated the Ragnarok Rising Glossary of Terms if anyone is interested...

I've added a historical figures guide, characters by affiliation, weapons, locations as well as a number of other updates. The glossary is near double it's previous length. Refer to the link below.

Well, progress has been rather slow for my current story, Destiny: Triumph of a Spellbinder, mostly because I've just gotten through a round of revisions. Me and my revisions.... Sheesh!
