The Center is dedicated to finding the children affected by a mutagen accidrntly enfused into a water bottling plant's water supply. Any pregnant woman who drinks any of the water dies soon after giving birth to an inter-sexed child.

The child may be born a male or female, but when puberty hits, their gender reverses and are blessed with a telekinetic , telepathic, or empathic gift that manifestes just before puberty.

The Center has a Rival called the Syndicate that uses intimidation in all forms to capture the children for their neferious purposes that was to seek a cure, but has since changed.
