Seems odd that they were looking for her if they have spies on Cassie, if the government watchers can't keep up with a group of high school track girls they need to be replaced.
And if Cassie did not recognize any of the figures depicted on the statues that seems odd, what with Hera having hardwired her with Amazon knowledge. May be that the sect that Antiope is running is not following the same core beliefs and Cassie is there to shut them down or change them.

She Should Have Been Paying Attention
... to the billionairess. At least she (Cassie) showed a lot of restraint. I imagine she will be making several trips down that elevator, but there have to be other exits. Antiope is bad news and probably wants to put all men in their proper place. I hope Cassie is not doomed to suffer like her namesake, being able to predict the future, but not having anyone believe her. I see several versions of the tale of Heracles, Hippolyta, and Antiope. I also see that Hera hated Heracles. Most of the tales have him killing Hipollyta and Antiope. Of course, this new Antiope is quite mad.

There was a tribe of Nubian Amazons, dark-skinned, in the old DC continuity. After all the crises, I dunno. The actual tribe the legend of the Amazons were based on were Scythians, probably related to modern day Ukrainians, Macedonians and Bulgarians.

I apologize if anyone feels like I'm dragging my feet, I promise things will pick up in the next chapter or so. Sorry, but I don't trust this woman Antiope any further than I would a pit viper. Definitely she is a snake and an evil one on top of it all. I do believe she has somehow gotten all the trackteam members in some form of thrall, either by mind bending or food/drink items, or even good old fashioned magic.

Adult Swim is my constant late night/early morning companion :)
I found a lot of shows on Adult Swim that I'm addicted too now...like Bleach. Its a shame that they cut back on their anime though, once upon a time it was all they showed until they started with their programming which I like but not as much as say Big O or Trigun :)
