6 years ago today my wife and I lost our oldest daughter. It seems like yesterday that we brought her home from the hospital. I know they say time heals all wounds. But still hurts.

having lost two wives, a daughter, a brother I can not say it gets easier but you have all your sweet memories of them. remember they are waiting for us somewhere.

losing someone really close is hard, and the hurt does lessen over time, it has been just over 4 years for my mom, who i cared for the last 10 years of her life. it fades, it scabbs over, but i doubt it will ever be all the way gone, we are built to remember those we cared for, not forget about them.

Losing loved ones is never easy. I've been there too.

It will always hurt
I remember the first time I realized that I'd not been aware of the anniversary of my sister's passing after several years. That's about as good as it gets. I still get twinges of hurt after almost 30 years, and miss her, but it's not as stabbing as it once was. It helps me to remember the happy times with her.

I know how you feel. In May it will be 19 years since I lost my first daughter less than an hour after birth.

Just want to say thank you so much for all the comments. Yeah it's hard for us we know that she not in any more pain . And some day we will be together again.
