Heart felt thanks
Dear Bronwen: Thank you for an intriguing story. I have faithfully followed each segment & look forward to future works. Your writing is easy to read & always has me asking for more. Thanks again Another Brian
Lovely
So there you go, all you Reggie haters! And I too am confounded in that Bronwen didn't have any more cliff-hangers up her authorial sleeve.
So nice to have a suitably romantic conclusion to this beautiful story and I look forward to the third instalment of Harriet's odyssey.
P.S. The wedding gown is gorgeous!
Whoa!
I thought that Reggie had done the dirty - so I'm really happy that he didn't maybe now he'll be liked a little it better by some of your faithful readers.
Thanks for your hard work you deserve a bit of a rest. Note the BIT of a rest.

What a dream bride !
Oh my Bron, somehow you managed to include another cliff-hanger. But this time into the middle of the story.
It seems the story of Mr and Mrs Staunton is just starting.I will wait with baited breath until July (?) for the third installment of Harriet's wonderful life.
Big Hugs,
Karen
Thanks, Bronwen.
I knew you wouldn't be able to resist slipping in a little twist to keep your faithful readers entertained right to the end and I was right ... for once. Our wedding day was just a couple of months and 50 years ago but I still remember it as one of the best things I ever did. It was an even smaller affair than Harriet and Reggie's but small is good in my book. I hope your fictional pair have as good a time as we have though I hope not quite as incident free for that would make poor entertainment :)
Thanks again. I'm sure I'm not alone in looking forward to the last episode in the trilogy.

Cant't wait but must!
89 chapters in 2 books so far and I am waiting on the edge of my chair for more. Thanks Bronwen .
“So how does it feel to be married?”
wonderful ending to this story, I hope her adventures continue !
So sad
I was devastated to see the word final in the title. It was sad to think this would be Harriet's last show. Then Yay, we find there will be a third book. I for one can't wait.

Happy Ending
Thank you for this lovely story. I thought at times that you made things too hard on Harriet and Reggie, but it all has turned out well for now. I really appreciate the effort you must have put in to post weekly episodes and to keep us advised when there would be delays. Thank you again for sharing.
What a lovely moment
It was such a lovely moment to see them both finally at the alter getting married, there were alot of twists and turns along the way but it was so perfect to see Harriet looking so beautiful in her wedding gown finishing something she had started so long ago.
The police officer and taxi scene omg I was dying thinking oh no!! They are going to be soooooo late but through Harriet's prompting they managed to cut that short! Thankfully they were able to get started quickly afterwards =]
This has been such an amazing story, through all of her travels throughout the world and all the ups and downs with matters of the heart. One of the great reads here, that's for sure!
Thank you for letting us go along with Harriet on her journey, it was an amazing trip!

Thank you Bronwen,
' for what has been a wonderful story ,even more so to those of us who know what difficult conditions you write under . The third part of this marvelous story will be well worth waiting for ---you are a very special person ,thank you so much .
PS: Loved the bridal gown ,so extremely elegant !!!
Thank You...
...for a lovely story and a wonderful cast of characters.
I find it bittersweet as I will have to eagerly await your next literary opus.

Be kind to those who are unkind, tolerant toward those who treat you with intolerance, loving to those who withhold their love, and always smile through the pains of life.
Who in their right mind, man
Who in their right mind, man or woman, would not admire and comment on Harriet's wedding gown? It is gorgeous indeed. The story Reggie told Harriet and everyone listening about his and Des' travails in getting to the wedding, sound very plausible to me, as so many times strange things do occur surrounding weddings.
Was glad to see them going to New York City for their Honeymoon, as it is a real reverse to others going to Europe or the Med or Hawaii for theirs. I wish both Harriet and Reggie all the best in their new life together as husband and wife.
Looking forward to another story about Harriet.
Looking forward.......
To part three of the trilogy!
You have absolutely gotten me hooked on the adventures of Harriet and company.

So Reggie Wasn't Being Arrested...
...for murder, even though the police officer hung around until after the ceremony. And Reggie didn't decide that they'd honeymoon in a country without an extradition treaty with the U.K., so he probably won't figure that it's the better part of valor not to come home.
Also, thankfully, Harriet's mother didn't die during the ceremony or the reception, which at one point seemed to be the best bet for the wedding disruption that Harriet presaged. And the big day wasn't spoiled. (Not even for the cow, apparently.)
Speaking of foreshadowing, it seems that one thing we'll see in the next book is Phillip Whitlow's continued interest in Stella. (Will he be demanding a DNA test to establish paternity, or trying to get a payoff from the Stauntons not to?)
Thanks, Bronwen, for another entertaining and heartwarming story.

(And yes, I did notice the police sergeant's last name.)
End of act two
So finaly, after I don't know how many twists and turns, Harriet and Reggie are married and the present story comes to an end. But the promise of a continuation waits around the corner. Bronwen, I really hope you will continue weaving your tales for a long time yet, since you are one of my favorite authors here on BC.

A near thing
Bronwen,
I practicaly died a little when I saw the word final in the title. Fotunately Harriet will return and maybe we will get an account of the honeymoon or the story will move on to the next stage in Harriets life. Enjoy the respite while it lasts. Your loyal and dedicated followers are already champing at the bit for the next chapter.

Uplifting Story

Enjoyed stage references
It is great to read a well organized story and I particularly enyoyed your frequent references to the classics of the theater. An easy and fun read that was easy to follow. Not sure part three can be any better. But am certain you are going to do it.

Glen Haumann, at ComicMix, once said in a reply to an apology from me for a particularly egregious typo:

{I am so glad i previewed that instead of just posting it, because not only were there two honkin' big typos, but they were in the HTML markup and REALLY messed things up.}
Murphy took a vacation
As a parting shot, Murphy had to use a cow to try and spoil a happy day. Had they not gone into the ditch, Charlie wouldn't have received the extra 50 for getting them straight to the church. BTW, it would have been more helpful had the police been in front, leading the way, instead of chasing them. Still, it turned out well thanks to the silver tongue Harriet.
Many road blocks fell between Reggie and Harriet which kept them apart. But those blocks didn't affect who each were as they both knew the day would come when Reggie would be watching as Harriet walked down the aisle. They've gone through trials and tribulations no married couple would ever go through. Trials and tribulations which proved their love was meant to be and they would be there for each other.
These first two stories were well written and told a heart felt story. It's good a third will be written because Harriet had alarm bells when Stella's maybe dad asked about her. And Harriet's mom is on short time.
Others have feelings too.
Harriet's Story
I just spent most of my free time the last five days, after having reached the 50K on NaNoWRiMo reading this up to here and I enjoyed every single chapter. Thank you for this lovely story! I am thinking about posting stories here now, too.

No Exonertation
So let me get this straight. Reggie's phone was dead, and Desmond's father wasn't answering. After all these years I'd think Reggie would have Harriet's phone number engraved in his memory, so why didn't he use Desmond's phone to call her? If they were late then it stands to reason that she would have her phone gripped in her hand.

The sun is coming over the hill...
And so Harriet moves on to the next stage of her glorious adventure.. As Reggie's wife naturally. I am so glad to have binge re-read this part of the wonderful Trilogy.. My first time through I was fraught and genuinely distraught for the troubles that beset Harriet..I literally lost sleep over the vile gangster family that entrapped Reggie.
With the benefit of knowing the happy resolution this time I enjoyed a more measured ride..and enjoyed it all the more. A wonderful Tale..and one that I shall reread again and again...and so to America!

A lovely story...
... that I listened to after converting the text to speech. It took me fifteen hours of listening. I sincerely hope that more authors, and BC itself, would make it easier to convert text to speech!
I've enjoyed it
but there is no mention of her obtaining female legal status, and she would need permission to get married in a church.
