Be kind to those who are unkind, tolerant toward those who treat you with intolerance, loving to those who withhold their love, and always smile through the pains of life.
Where is it??
I've re-read three times and I simply can't find the Cliff Hanger or anything remotely like one - surprise the reader week is it!
Nice homely episode which gives you the feel good factor. Thanks as usual for all your hard work.

When Shepherds Washed Their Socks
By night, all seated round the tub, the angel of the Lord came down and gave their socks a scrub.
I'm sure you can all carry on with the rest of the ditty. That's how we kids used to mutilate the carol many years ago.
You could almost enter this lovely little chapter in The Spirit Of Giving competition.
My favourite misheard
Hail Mary, full of grace. The Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst the swimming
And my favourite was when I heard some children ...

Sore tush
Would guess the pyro guy had a sore tush after David was through with him. Might even needed a pillow when sitting.
Good to see that Harriet could spend time with her family. Also nice to see her time in church went well.
Others have feelings too.
Merry Christmas
What a wonderful chapter. A most apt Bible verse for the Christmas season!
Bron makes us feel as if we were there with Harriet.

Boxing Day
In the U.S. Boxing Day is traditionally the day everybody boxes up the horrible gifts they received and return them for cash or store credit. Of course such gifts are received in the manner in which they are given:
"Oh s**t, I forgot to get Aunt Mary a gift! I'll get her a sweater!"
"Oh, what an interesting sweater. Its so seldom you see that shade of green! That was nice of you to remember me. (And just what did you remember when you thought of me?)"
