All legend and myth stories
All legend and myth stories regardless of culture have a basis of reality to them; so who is to say what River told the People was not real? She is apparently getting all her information from the RIVER, and it would, my estimation know better than computers, historians, and others whether something is fact, half fact, one quarter fact or maybe even fiction.
another awesome chapter
I am learning as well as enjoying this as a story. Well done!
I Just Figured...
...that the river was more concerned with convincing its followers of the dangers of alcohol among the First Nations and in telling a good story than in getting all the facts straight.

You.must go.by faith
Like the people in the story do, not by what some computer says.
As for river her self she told the story as it was told to.her, and the people understand the meaning behind it. It's a good story & the river gave the people something to look to look toover to remind them of their pride.
The river runs backwards for those in the canoes to make their trip easear. The great spirit is with the river
Love Samantha Renée Heart.
