Honestly...
Imagine being a gay male in this world. I think my cousin would find this world a nightmare...
You'd have to hope that the male you are dating has already passed the rut, or that the person he'd become would stay male in mind and soul at least.
I wonder how many trans boys exist in this world, probably about the same as our current one maybe. Is there surgery and hormones available for them if they wish to live as the boys they are? Though there are trans boys who don't have dysphoria so would probably just change their clothes and hair. Interesting to think about IMO.

I broached the subject some, there is a married gay couple you'll meet as you read on. It is difficult, I would imagine. Condoms, just like with pregnancy, wouldn't be 100% effective. there is abstaining until you are past the possibility of change, though that would be amazingly hard to do.
Seems adim was missing
Where was the school administration when all this garbage was going on? How could Marcia be allowed to do what she did? And where were all the parents of these kids? Why didn't any, or all, step up and end the girls' reign of terror?
Because blind eyes were employed, Marcia, and her mom, ruined a lot of lives.
Others have feelings too.
there is only so much that can be done.
As far as monitoring goes. Marcia may well be very good at fooling adults. The school faculty can only act on what happens at school, or if they suspect something suspicious is going on. Marcia's mental state is actively being aided and supported by a very powerful enabler, in her mother.
Someone with the power and resources to move people away, to make situations and troubles disappear, and to buy off people when needed.
