I'm feeling good, just tired with the lack of sleep and schedule change. That, and the fact that I wanted to cover some things in this chapter, skip a bit of time before next chapter, and give it the just the right feel kind of delayed things a bit. As for our cliffhanger it could be anything. She is concerned about Narek pulling something though and he doesn't seem to want to give up.

Even though I expected it, I still hate them! I mean it’s bad enough waiting for more, but throw in that last line and you have gone over the line into torment, lol.
There is definitely something bigger than a simple Beta test of a game going on here, and even the characters are starting to comment on the peculiarities. I can’t help but wonder how much of this game is really some form of augmented reality.
Guess I’ll just have to wait for next week!

Cliffhangers are kind of my thing I guess and this one is such a tease, lol.
Yes they have all been noticing things with the game and how Moira is acting, but they're inside now and realistically there really isn't a lot they can do other than worrying over some big unknown. It's better for them to focus on more immediate issues and try to enjoy the game. That being said, they will still keep their eyes open for other clues as to what's going on and for when there is something they can do about their situation. As for augmented realty, isn't reality largely biased by our own perceptions? ;)

While everyone seems like they are becoming more aware...
It just struck me this chapter how much the ambassadors are risking by putting themselves in Moira's hands. I would assume that the senior people in the company at least know the general capabilities of the technology and how much control Moira could have. Even if you sent someone you trusted implicitly, how could you be sure "who" would return or even if what they remember is true or implanted?
If this was a cyberpunk story, Narek would probably release some sort of virus that was encoded into his brain.

P.s. Does Martin have a permanent position, or just training?
Risks
There are risks, but that would be another reason not to go themselves and have someone more disposable sent. Hell, the New York office probably couldn't wait to get rid of Narek if he's anything like his character in real life. And yup, Narek would totally do that if he could, he doesn't just want respect, he wants control. But if that's the case why not have a female high elf character instead of a male? Well, his attitude toward women in general seems to answer that burning question. And when push comes to shove he's a bit of a coward, so he probably doesn't have the balls to be a girl ;)

P.S. It's like two and a half months paid training and he's being really well paid to do it. After that he has a secure one year work contract that could work into permanent if everything works out well. They need people pretty badly for these positions and Martin's doing great so far in training, he's teaching the teacher some things and and he's one of the few students in his group who actually seemed to think about what he was getting into and has the ability and care to handle it properly.
A thought
I’m wondering if the game is actually a method of sending their minds or them into the veil where some of these Fae are still sealed. I’m also betting that they will end up as actually their characters since no one would miss them. I am also curious whether the Goddess Danu is the reason that Taeyla was forced to choose a female character. My thoughts on something being wrong could be her real body feeling wrong or Shadow Walkers attacking the estate maybe let in by Narek. I’m also curious whether the prize is being their characters for real or something.

Interesting thoughts
The characters, at least those close to Taelya, have seen quite a bit and they are all suspicious of a lot of things, especially the fact that none of them has many ties in the real world. There is also a lot Moira's doublespeak to consider, she often says important details or gives information that could mean something else entirely if taken in a different context. That said, the 'prize' could be literally anything since she didn't give any details what it was. The characters can't really feel their real bodies while in the game though, with the sensory deprivation and their brains being hijacked for their virtual bodies, but she could be sensing some external danger especially with Narek involved. You could be close with your one of your guesses. ;)
