Gee.. Another island. Not
Gee.. Another island. Not quite as bad as a needle in a haystack (considering that the helicopters came from a specific direction), but still a large grouping. Satellite overviews might show where additional waste products were being pushed out to sea, however.
I'll get a life when it's proven and substantiated to be better than what I'm currently experiencing.

I didn't realize until well after I had this plot set that the next Masks story also largely takes place on an island!
Pure coincidence, I assure you. It has nothing to do with my boxed set of Gilligan's Island episodes. :-)
