Despite the seeming improbability of it, three of the most memorable, pivotal events took place within one month:
July 20 -- The Moon Landing
August 8-10 -- The Manson Family Murders
August 15-18 -- Woodstock
Downhill? And, yes, better, too ...
1969 was a great year. I was 18, finished high school,,,
II had a part-time job capped at 28 hours until my birthday when I began working full time. I started college, gained sister who had me as an 18 year old sibling, a 15 year old sister and a 25 year old brother. I continued working full time (through my 1st 3 years of college) taking 18-21 credits a semester plush 12 credits in summer school.
I had no time for goofing around. Got up at 6am, started classes at 8am left at 2:30 pm for my job working 3-11pm plus most Saturdays. I was able to witness on live news feeds those events you mentioned. Now at 75 I can look back with few and only minor regrets.
Boys will be girls... if they're lucky!
