Yesterday, great morning, found one of those sweet spots where nothing poked or hurt for the morning. So get up, ready to take painkillers, reminds me, chemist should have delivered. So carefully down the stairs I go, nope, but a sorry we missed you card. Went to pick up card.....
Yeah.... bounce off 2 walls and land flat on my back. No leverage to get up or turn over. Oh Dear!
Hit alert button. It no work. Dearie me.
This is 12:15'ish.
Finally sceamble so I can get door open onto street. 12:30. 12:45 someone finally passes by, scream for help. Young woman comes to help, calls ambulance, 2 hours estimated time.... nothing I can do but lie in pain. Ldy gets blankets pillows etc. Stays with me.
15:15 alert people ring to get to me quicker than an ambulance.
15:30'ish they arrive, inflatable bag thing gets me onto my feet and I test for injuries, seems to be j7st bruising, so slowly get upstairs to bed, after profusely thanking lady who stayed with me (Sarah, you are an angel).
16:30 home carers depart after checking I can get to loo, taken painkillers etc. Look into alert button, no clue why it isn't working, looking into it!
17:30 ambulance arrives.
Paramedics check me over, take sats and an ecg. Heart racing a bit, but otherwise fine. Option to go to hospital, but once fairly acceptably WE decide to see how I am in the morning as it looks like I have escaped with just bruising of areas already in pain from.
Remembering I live at 6 to 6.5 on the painscale, 7.5 if meds are late or twist wrong, then the crash landing on top.
Care level was superb, just should not be talking in multiple hours to get it.
Bruised and battered and fluffy headed today but.... sheeeèeeesh.
Send fudge...
