Lara's big plan turns into a flop and Patience get's her family's name dragged through the mud by the tabloids, the money hungry jerks they are, and she stands to get a suprise of some sort, either an item or some information or both... But at what price? What is this bit of info going to cost them? Maybe Abe has indeed been hired by someone from the church to lead them into an ambush or to capture them. either way, I'm looking forward to the continuation of the story, Lilith. Excellent writing as usual and the characters are well portrayed. Please keep it up.

In one of the comments in the previous chapter I recommended reading Hellgirl if you hadn't already for clues as to what's going on. This story takes place a few months after that one, but is instrumental to the plot. If you don't want to do that, I'll be explaining everything you need to know in the next chapter of this story. So it's not like Hellgirl is a requirement or anything. It's just for the hardcore CRU fans.

Lara manages to be both worldly wise and naive in the same breath with her plan to protect Patience. Hopefully she can go some way to atoning for outing Patience in such a manner which she kinda needs to given what she did, even if the plan did achieve the aim of making Patience high profile enough to be missed if she vanished.
It will be interesting to see what Abraham is up to and what he has to offer Patience. :-)
Looking forward to seeing where you go with this as the combination of the Lara and Patience characters allows for a lot of possible plot potential.

I was never a fan of the whole "Tomb Raider" shtick. From meeting the original RL (British?) Face of Lara while she was on a break where I worked (sort of) to having one of the films playing on repeat for ~2 weeks "... 30000 years..." (that is one of the blurbs said 30k years not that it seemed like 30k years... it seemed much longer).
And I'm not a huge fan of arrested M2F in the general sense.
Yet I'm beginning to enjoy this... :)

would know was if the very few involved (who are trying to work in secret) decided to flip out... and it might
not have been even believed unless somebody like Lara Croft did something really ridiculous and wild - say like
doing a very Public PR campaign to Out someone without their desire and behind their back.
