Speed Dating?.
I'm not quite clear on what's happening here. Is this the equivalent of a speed-dating encounter, brief meetings with multiple prospective partners and then you choose the one/s you want to exchange phone numbers with?
Or is Seth sampling different AI personas because he's looking for something and not finding it? I guess that wouldn't be surprising if he's comparing them to his "lost" Elise, who started from scratch but attuned herself so strongly to him over time. Or is he just sampling them like a mix-tape of music excerpts, or what?
And can he really tell anything from these intros? Their bio data is different, but the five seem pretty much the same to me, even though the last two picture captions seemed to imply a different approach. Then again, meet-and-greets like these probably can't be all that different. (Except that I still don't know whether Jessica's rejection of Seth last time was a glitch. I suppose the AI could have concluded that Seth wasn't a good fit, but in the middle of a story?)
