It is with great sadness and a few scrapes and hurts that i have to announce the demise of my faithful steed Foxy. On the way home tonight she hada major failure which luckily occured on a bit of traffic free road as i ended up in a heap on the floor.

I think someones trying to tell me something as i only lost Ginny a few weeks ago so a double bike bereavement is a bit of a hint.

I've escaped serious injury so thats good i think and it could have happened on our recent trip around Denmark or on a busy road.

Looking for an older story...

Okay So I am first off curious if anyone pays much attention to Fictionmania, because I found that site before any BigCloset site. But mainly I am looking for a story, I was reminded of it because I saw SpaceTran and was like oh! I loved that story nostalgia ensued upon seeing Skipper as well and I had the thought, oh, I wonder what the name of that one story was. Anyway long story short I decided to reach out and see if anyone knew it, but as I had only seen it on Fictionmania I am not certain, and it was a few years ago.

Descriptions

Forums:

Taxonomy upgrade extras:

Am I being too descriptive in my stories, although I have received many complimentary emails about my descriptions I have also received others that my description are on occassions too much.

Okay I`m not the most elegant writer and my english. spelling and phraseology leaves a lot to be desired, but hey I`m an ex soldier turned truck driver with no fancy degrees just the basic state level of education for the 1950`s and 60`s.

One of my stories called "Control" was slaughtered so much I`ve decided to discontinue it.

Spotted this story about 12 year old Redvers Stokes who won his village's annual competion with a drag act character called 'Naughty Nora'. Personally, I think his parents have a good, healthy attitude to his act. All to often it is the negative responces that can cause problems for young males who enjoy dressing up.

Here's a very sympathetic story from a major US newspaper about a transgendered sanitation worker. It includes a link to a video.

Science Fiction and Fantasy stories

Taxonomy upgrade extras:

Hi there ;)

I'm looking for good science fiction and fantasy stories. I've just found some via jewel box and I think there are some more I haven't read already. As you perhaps know I'm a sucker for those kind of stories, so it would be kind of nice if you could tell me some stories or authors, I might not have read by now.

Thank you for providing me with new food :D

Hair removal - Intense Pulsed Light (IPL)

Does anyone here have experience with hair (beard) removal by Intense Pulsed Light (IPL)? Would you please share your experience?

How does IPL compare to laser and/or electrolisys?

The only place in my country that is offering "permanent hair removal", that I could find, is doing IPL, and they quoted me for 8-10 sessions @ US$150 each (with the legal minimum wage being about US$400 per month).

I am looking for testimonials and/or recomendations. Thank you.

My stress level just spiked through the roof

For those of you who do not yet know me: I live in a small country in the heart of South America, about 500km away from the Capital (about 7 hours bus trip, and if you are really suicidal about 3 hours by car). Even though both of my parents and I were born and raised here, we are still considered foreigners and unfortunately of the rich sort. Considering my cultural roots in a very conservative cristian religious community (were I still live today), that is not so far off since my community and several others of the same background in this country are a big powerhouse in the agribusiness.

Shattered - Additional

I got up this morning to the news that a carbomb exploded in Central Oslo, Norway. Several people are reported killed, many injured and I heard a little while ago that people in the Norwegian Govt. Building (where the carbomb was set off) may be trapped inside. And I just got word from my friends in Norway that a man dressed in a police uniform attacked a youthcamp south of Oslo. The man opened fire with a machine gun, and reports say at least four youths may have been killed.

I've spoken with my family in Oslo and Thank God they are all safe and sound. But I'm still shaken and crying.

I Guess the Main Stream Media missed this

Taxonomy upgrade extras:

Author:

I have been listening to NPR ( National Public Radio ) lately and 3 days ago they did an artical on the New California law that requires the teaching of LGBT history in state schools.
They compaired a man named Harvey (I know when somebody smarter than reads this they will correct Mr. Milks first name) Milk, who was assinated for being an equal rights spokesman and also gay, to Dr. Martin Luther King.
To listen to the artical you can probally go to your local NPR station on the net.
I guess the mainstream media missed this or thought unnewsworthy

Server Rescue

My understanding from Kristin Darken is that Bob was hosting sites for a lot more than just the TG community. The following is the post I made on the Crystal Hall, which may be pertinent to the BCTS/TG Server/Site Rescue Taskforce.

If the servers for the non-TG sites are on physically distinct machines from "our" sites, our (narrow vision) end of things would be relatively easy, just get "our" machine(s) moved elsewhere.

"The Obama administration wants to stick with the timetable set in last year's congressional action to repeal the controversial policy. The Obama administration asked a federal appeals court late Thursday to suspend its decision last week ordering an end to enforcement of the military's "don't ask, don't tell" policy, which bars gay people from serving openly in the armed forces."

I wanted to thank you all for giving me insight into how many friends Bob really did have. He seemed to live such a solitary life, but I now realize his life was much richer than any of us imagined. Please know that you will be with us in our thoughts as we go on with his memorial service and as we try to get his websites back up and running.

Your messages have brought me much comfort during this terribly difficult time.

Please feel free to keep in touch.

I have been fretting all day over the news of Bob's passing away. While I did not know him, I knew of him, how can you not ... story edited by, site maintained by and the list goes on. I wish I had the words to express the sorrow I feel within, but I am not that good with words. All I know is he will be missed terribly.

So, here is to Bob's memory, his work and legacy. God speed and may your rest be peaceful.
