always seems to fall on Madeline!
Well it sometimes feels like that at any rate.
So. its been almost a 'normal' week here at Bev's Acres, well in as much as i'm back to some sort of routine at least. Despite my desire and thoughts regarding Thursday's ride, it ended up a more modest affair, indeed another trip down to Bath was the result, which was pleasant enough, lunch by the canal, a few rays of sunshine and a bit of road collecting. But it wasn't what i had hoped, just 58km and not much over 200m of climbing didn't really tick all the boxes.
Friday was at least more productive. I got the washing done early doors then settled down to do some writing, which went pretty well, completing the new chapter late afternoon. Of course that is now up on Patreon for review by my Patreon supporters, thanks to those who continue to support me there and especially those who take the time to comment, its much appreciated.
On to Saturday, the forecast was grey but dry and i had a sort of plan to hit the eastern Mendip region but when i got up i had little thuse and no en. I wanted to have a ride but not on my own and not for dozens of miles. Plan B was a much shorter affair, essentially exploring some of South Brizzles C20 housing developments - not exciting, not far, less than 50km but twice Thursdays climbing and over 20km of new to me roads.
And so to today. Well its a miserable day, grey, wet, windy - not a day for outdoor pursuits when you have the choice. I'm using it to re energise, i did go to the supermarket to purchase some dessert materials and i have 'cooked' Sunday lunch - cottage pie with cauliflower followed by a toffee-ish pie with custard. Quite a big meal but we'll be skipping tea, i might get some supper much later on. Whilst that was cooking i have posted Chapter 18 of Balancing Trick for your delectation and delight.
The weather is looking a bit glum this coming week, damp and windy but it is late October so its to be expected. Tomorrow i will be cracking on with the next new Gaby chapter and on Tuesday, Aunty Bev and I will be visiting a well known Dorset based author. Dependent on the weather, Wednesday will possibly end up a riding day. Or not, we'll see.
That's it for today more midweek, so until next time,
Tak,
Madeline Anafrid
