Because my re-write of Games without Frontiers is almost finished, I wanted to share how this story evolved.

It started the first time I heard the song by Peter Gabriel which is apparently in reference to a reality show from Europe.

The song stuck with me, and eventually I started trying to find a story I could make from it.

The first attempt was set in World War Two, featuring a bunch of kids sent to the country to avoid the London Blitz.

But eventually I abandoned that idea, and the song kind of went into the background.

Then recently, I became aware of the Be Brave Ranch, a place for kids who were victims of sexual abuse.

And the idea of "what would have happened if I had been able to go to a place like that" came to me, which led to the version I published here.

But I wasn't 100% happy with it, so I pulled it, and have been trying to re-write the story since.

and as I said, I am almost done.

What I would love now is a beta reader to go over what I got and see if it needs more. so any volunteers?
